But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18

Welcome to CCGVKids!

CCGVKids gives children the opportunity to learn more about God through interactive lessons, praise and worship, and other engaging activities that help bring the Bible to life. Our classes are designed for children in each age group to develop a relationship with Jesus in a safe and nurturing environment. CCGVKids is available for nursery through elementary during each service on Saturdays, Sundays, and Wednesdays. Our desire is for Children’s Ministry to be a safe and exciting place for children to learn and grow and be shown the love of Jesus in practical, understandable, and interactive ways. Our purpose for Children’s Ministry is to make disciples of Jesus and for children to know Christ as their own.

CCGVKids Weekend Services

Sundays at 8 a.m., 9:45 a.m., and 11:30 a.m.

Saturdays at 6 p.m.

Our kindergarten through fifth grade classes explore the same passages of Scripture that Pastor John covers in the main sanctuary but are taught in comprehensible ways for each age group. Every student goes home with THE FAMILY PAGE, which is designed for the students and their family to talk about the same passage of Scripture and how God spoke to them through it.

THE LITTLE ONES

Our preschoolers and toddlers get the opportunity to participate in lessons and activities that are fun, memorable, and true to the Word of God. Age-appropriate, hands-on, and exciting Bible stories and activities allow the little ones to learn God’s Word in a safe and nurturing environment.

Nursery Ministry

Nursery Ministry ministers to our youngest members and their parents. When parents entrust us with their gift from God, we want to provide the highest level of care, concern, and attention possible to each infant.

Our Nursery Ministry team is committed to praying for, singing to, sharing Bible stories with, and loving the babies with Christlikeness, allowing parents an opportunity to worship God and receive from His Word without distractions.

Foundation for Fifth Grade

The Foundation for Fifth Grade (F5G) class is designed especially for fifth graders to explore their faith, discover why we as Christians believe what we believe, and develop a firm biblical foundation before entering junior high.

F5G meets on Sundays at 11:30 a.m. and Wednesdays at 6 p.m. September through May.

A few of the many topics in F5G include Baptism, Communion, the Trinity, Spriritual Warfare, Prophecy, Archeology, and Confirming Truth Amongst Apparent Contradictions in the Bible.

Outside classroom opportunities include pool parties, BBQs, and Christian movie nights.

Contact F5G@ccgreenvalley.org for more information.

First Time at CCGVKids?

On your first visit, look for the CCGVKids signs to locate the Children’s Ministry area of Calvary Chapel Green Valley.

Ushers, greeters, or office staff can direct you to the right place if needed.

There will be a Service Lead team member ready to introduce you to CCGVKids and receive some information from you including your name and contact information, your child’s name and birthday, and any special instructions. You are welcome to ask questions as we progress through the check-in procedures. Subsequent check-ins are super quick and will be demonstrated at your first visit.

CCGVKids Safety & Security

We highly value and prioritize the safety and well-being of the children. Each CCGVKids team member is screened and properly trained. Adult team members must complete a background check and pass Child Safety Training. Our Children’s Ministry area is monitored by Service Leads, ushers, and our security team.

We have a secure check-in and check-out system, as well as proven principles, policies, and procedures to keep each child safe. Only those who you authorize may check-out your child. We will further explain during your first visit, but you are welcome to contact us for more information on our check-in and check-out policies.

Serving in CCGVKids

We strive to have an effective, efficient, and safe place for children to learn and to be shown the love of Jesus in an atmosphere of security and peace. We welcome adults and youth to serve in Children’s Ministry who have a strong commitment to and faith in Jesus Christ our Savior. Becoming a team member of CCGVKids Children’s Ministry is a commitment to God and the body, including the children.

If you are interested in serving in this ministry, please be in prayer as you complete the following questionnaire (adult or youth (sixth grade to 18 years old)). Upon submitting your application, you will receive an email with information about processing your background check (18 years old and older) and regarding next steps in serving in Children’s Ministry.

MISSION OPPORTUNITIES

Our CCGV kids get the opportunity to share with children locally and around the world by donating new toys, clothing, gifts, and Bibles to children in the Las Vegas Valley, Watts in California, Philippines, Cambodia, Ireland and wherever the Lord leads.

Our 5th Graders have participated in giving to Voice of the Martyr, Gospel for Asia, and Samaritan’s Purse.

Adults and youth get to be part of mission trips without leaving town by serving at Fine Arts Camp, VBS, and in CCGVKids Children’s Ministry.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

The first known VBS began in the late 1800s when a pastor’s wife started teaching the Bible to children during the summer weekdays, since there was not enough time on Sundays to adequately teach the Bible to children.

A few years later, a doctor’s wife began Bible school for children in the poorest parts of New York City as her husband focused on medical ministry to children. For six weeks each summer, the doctor’s wife gathered the children for worship music, Bible teachings, Scripture memorization, games, crafts, drawing, and cooking.

These schools, known at the time as Everyday Bible School, continue today through what, since the 1920s, have been called Vacation Bible School, or VBS! At CCGV, VBS kids hear about Jesus and get the opportunity to know Him better through memorable music, science, crafts, games, snacks, Bible, drama and more.

CHRISTMAS/EASTER PROGRAMS

The children of CCGVKids get the opportunity to explore and share the word of God through their own musical performances and drama presentations during the Christmas and Easter seasons.

They also experience hands-on interactive adventures to learn more about the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
