General Information 2008/2009 MISSION: To teach our students in an environment where Jesus Christ is honored; and where they are free to talk about their faith in Jesus. We are a school where Biblical principles matter and the students are trained up in the ways of the Lord (Proverbs 22:6). Our curriculum teaches to Creation and God’s Word. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: To assist in the development of Christian character and a Christian life style, we require that at least one custodial parent be born-again and attend either Calvary Chapel Green Valley or another evangelical Christian church on a regular basis (Pastoral Reference Form available at the front office.) After the application is received, an interview of the student and family will be conducted by the administration to determine acceptance into CCGVCA. CURRICULUM: Curriculum for CCGVCA includes a combination of Bob Jones Christian Press, ABeka Books, Saxon Math and Positive Action for Bible. CHAPEL: All students will attend and participate in Chapel. EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: CCGVCA will provide as many extracurricular activities as possible for our student body. Students enrolled at CCGVCA may continue to participate in their public school sports teams with dual enrollment, if desired. SCHOOL SCHEDULE: CCGVCA adheres to a traditional nine-month school calendar. We operate Monday through Friday on the following schedule. Kindergarten: 8:15 to 11:30 am Optional Kindergarten enrichment program: 11:30 am to 3:00 pm Elementary (Grades 1-5): 8:15am to 3:00 pm Junior High and High School (Grades 6 -12): 8:15am to 2:15pm Students must bring a sack lunch a school lunch. The school day for Kindergarten begins at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 11:30 p.m. with an Enrichment Program from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Kindergarten is a half-day from 8:15 to a 11:30 a.m. Students must bring a sack lunch as school lunch is not provided. MEMBERSHIP: Calvary Chapel Green Valley Christian Academy is operated as an exempt school under the provision of the NRS 394.211, and as such is exempt from the provisions of the Private Elementary and Secondary Education Authorization Act. CCGVCA is a member of the ACSI Association of Christian Schools International. TUITION: Member tuition; Kindergarten -5th grade $3,575.00 and 6th-12th grade $3,850.00. Non-member tuition; Kindergarten -5th grade $3,932.50 and 6th-12th grade $4,235.00. Tuition is paid over tes months period and beginning August 2008, with all final payments due no later than May 2009. Tuition payments will be handled by the FACTS Tuition Management Company and specific information will be provided to each family after enrollment verification. A yearly enrollment fee of $300.00 is required upon enrollment. A multi-student discount is available.
