Letter from Pastor John Knapp

Dear CCGV family,

The Coronavirus has created a lot of confusion and fear, and the facts around this pandemic are difficult to discern. Our government and health officials are making decisions on a daily basis with our safety in mind.

As the threat of the Coronavirus increases, we would like to address some of the pressing questions and concerns you may have.

Our leadership has been meeting, praying, and discussing ways to maintain the most safe and sanitized facility for our various gatherings throughout the week.

At CCGV we have always kept a high standard in cleanliness and hygiene throughout our entire facility. With these Coronavirus concerns we have increased our cleaning protocols and the wiping down of high traffic touch points.

Our children’s ministry has always had the policy of not receiving sick children and we will continue this policy forwards.

We want to encourage everyone that is in the high-risk group or showing any signs of being sick, to stay home and watch our services online.

Official restriction orders on large public gatherings are quite fluid at the moment. For now, we are permitted to meet, and our services will proceed as scheduled.  We would like everyone to do their part in keeping our community safe.

1. Before coming to church, wash your hands with warm water and soap.

2. Refrain from shaking hands or hugging people around the church property.

3. Some of our events and ministries may be suspended until further notice or canceled.

4. Please check on-line for up to date information.

5. Our hospitality ministry will be suspending our refreshments after services.

6. Join us in prayer.

As you know, many people are dealing with fear and anxiety with the growing spread of this virus. The Word of God instructs us to pray and to not be anxious.

Philippians 4:6–7 (NKJV)

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

And that we are not to be given over to a spirit of fear.

2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Finally, I would like you to pray for God to give me and our leadership team wisdom on how to navigate our church as we deal with this virus.

We will continue to communicate and post updates here on our website.

Know that we love you and are here for you,

In His Love,

Pastor John
